Sonic x Shadow Generations Launches on Nintendo Switch 2: Release Date, Features, and More

SEGA has officially announced that Sonic x Shadow Generations will debut on the Nintendo Switch 2, available during the console’s highly anticipated launch window.

Building on the success of its previous release for the current Nintendo Switch, SEGA’s beloved Sonic franchise will help headline the rollout of Nintendo’s next-generation hardware.

Players can take on the role of Shadow the Hedgehog in a brand-new story mode that explores the antihero’s past, pitting him against his nemesis Black Doom.

This all-new storyline puts Shadow’s abilities in the spotlight, including unique "Doom Powers" such as water surfing, gliding, and the return of Chaos Control, allowing for novel traversal and combat opportunities.
