Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Year Two Plans Confirmed — Godzilla and EVANGELION DLC, Sonic Pico Park Revealed

Sega used its Summer Game Fest spotlight to outline the next phase of post-launch support for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds as the company marks Sonic the Hedgehog’s 35th anniversary.

The announcement detailed the final scheduled paid content for Year One and confirmed plans for a substantial Year Two roadmap, alongside a separate Sonic-licensed puzzle co-op title, Sonic Pico Park.

Overview and timeline

Sega confirmed two remaining paid DLC drops tied to the current season pass: a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pack due in July 2026 and an Avatar Legends pack slated for October 2026.

After those releases, the development team will transition to Year Two content.

The publisher’s statement says Season Pass Two will include six new DLC packs, with additional specifics to be disclosed later in 2026.

Year Two content — what was announced

Sega’s year-two outline makes clear players should expect “more worlds” and a larger slate of collaborations.

The company said the upcoming content slate will feature a Godzilla DLC pack and an EVANGELION DLC pack, each bringing themed courses and prominent character additions.

In plain terms, Sega indicated that Season Pass Two will deliver six distinct DLC packs, expanding track variety and adding larger-than-life guest characters, with full details arriving later in 2026.

Sonic Pico Park — a new licensed spin

In addition to CrossWorlds updates, Sega revealed Sonic Pico Park, a new licensed title inspired by the indie cooperative puzzle game Pico Park.

The Sonic-themed game emphasizes puzzle-driven co-op action and is currently confirmed for PC.

For context, both Pico Park and Pico Park 2 have previously released on Nintendo Switch, establishing the co-op puzzle format that inspired Sega’s new entry.

What this means for players and platforms

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will continue receiving content through the end of Year One with TMNT and Avatar Legends DLC, then expand significantly in Year Two through Season Pass Two.

The Sonic Pico Park announcement signals Sega’s interest in expanding Sonic-branded experiences beyond racing, while maintaining ties to the indie co-op tradition that found an audience on Nintendo Switch and other platforms.

Sega will provide further details on DLC pack timing, pricing, and platform availability later in 2026 as the company rolls out its Year Two roadmap.
