Sega has officially announced the release date for 'Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition,' bringing the beloved racing franchise to Nintendo's next-generation platform.

Set to launch on December 4, 2025, for $69.99, this upgraded version arrives just in time for the holiday season, as confirmed by Sega through reputable outlets such as Gematsu.

Notably, a full physical release—with all content included on the cartridge—is planned for early 2026, offering fans the choice between digital and boxed formats. The developer has also rolled out a customer-friendly upgrade path for existing players.

Owners of the original 'Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds' on Nintendo Switch (now referred to as Switch 1) can purchase an upgrade pack to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for $10 (or local currency equivalent).

Early adopters benefit even further: those who buy the upgrade before December 10 will receive a 50% discount, bringing the price down to just $5.
