Rhythm Heaven Groove: Seven Tracks Added to Nintendo Music for Nintendo Switch Release

Rhythm Heaven Groove launched on Nintendo Switch this week, and Nintendo marked the release by adding seven tracks from the game to its Nintendo Music service.

Developed and published by Nintendo as part of the long-running Rhythm Heaven series, the new Switch entry continues the franchise’s focus on rhythm-based minigames and curatorial sound design.

To coincide with the game’s Switch debut, Nintendo uploaded seven selections from the Rhythm Heaven Groove soundtrack to Nintendo Music.

Nintendo has previously issued similar “Special Releases” of selected tracks on the platform for recent titles, using targeted additions to spotlight new releases.

Nintendo has not announced a timetable for adding the remainder of Rhythm Heaven Groove’s soundtrack to the service.

Nintendo Music remains a benefit for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers — content on the platform is available at no additional charge to members.

The service recently received a major update for iOS and Android devices and also gained a dedicated website that allows subscribers to listen in a web browser.

Those updates expanded how and where Switch Online subscribers can access curated game soundtracks outside of the console.

A brief look at the series: the Rhythm Heaven franchise began on handheld hardware and has appeared across multiple Nintendo platforms, including the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, Wii and Nintendo 3DS.

The series is known for concise rhythm mechanics, distinctive audio direction and memorable musical themes; past entries have been localized for international markets and maintained a steady fanbase.

How to listen: subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online should find the newly added Rhythm Heaven Groove tracks available through the Nintendo Music app on mobile devices and via the web player introduced in the service’s recent update.

The addition complements Nintendo’s ongoing approach of highlighting game music through curated releases rather than full immediate soundtrack uploads.

For players who prefer full soundtrack collections, Nintendo has not provided additional details on plans to release the entire Rhythm Heaven Groove OST on Nintendo Music or other platforms.

For now, the seven-track Special Release gives Switch owners a legal, subscription-based way to enjoy a slice of the game’s music alongside the new gameplay experience on Nintendo Switch.
