Nintendo Music Adds The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask Tracks — What Fans Need to Know

Nintendo is spotlighting The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations by updating Nintendo Music with tracks from the game.

Originally released in 2000, Majora’s Mask is a landmark Zelda title whose original soundtrack comprises 112 tracks; the soundtrack was later reissued as a Club Nintendo reward in 2013.

Nintendo Japan has confirmed the incoming update will land this week and will add music from the Majora’s Mask score to Nintendo Music on supported platforms.

What the update includes

Nintendo Japan has noted that the Majora’s Mask update will go live on Thursday.

The full scope of the release — whether the entire 112-track soundtrack will be hosted on Nintendo Music or a curated selection of tracks — will be confirmed once the update is published.

Nintendo says it will publish the full track list when the update is live, and outlets will likewise refresh listings when Nintendo posts the official track breakdown.

Related anniversary promotions

Alongside the Nintendo Music update, Nintendo is running other Majora’s Mask-themed promotions.

The Nintendo Today! smartphone app will distribute collectible digital cards featuring characters from Majora’s Mask; users can claim one card per day and then take an in-app quiz for a chance to earn a medal, which can be exchanged for additional cards in The Legend of Zelda series.

Separately, Majora’s Mask icon elements are being made available through Nintendo Switch Online for redemption using Platinum Points.

Nintendo has set the distribution window for those icon elements to end on Thursday, October 22 at 4:59 p.m.

PT (7:59 p.m.

ET).
