Sega has officially revealed the English voice cast for Yakuza 0: Director's Cut, bringing new excitement to fans ahead of its Nintendo Switch 2 release on June 5, 2025.

The highly anticipated re-release of Yakuza 0 marks the first time the critically acclaimed action-adventure is making its way to Nintendo’s upcoming hardware, with fresh features and audio options designed to appeal to both new players and long-time series veterans. Originally developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, Yakuza 0 first launched in Japan in 2015 before making its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.

The Director's Cut for Nintendo Switch 2 not only includes all previously released content but also debuts a fully localized English dub—a first for the series installment.

Sega has assembled a stellar cast for the English voiceover, reaffirming its commitment to expanding the global reach of its flagship franchise. Leading the cast as Kazuma Kiryu is prominent YouTuber and voice actor Yong Yea, whose dynamic range brings new life to the iconic protagonist.

During select minigames, Kiryu’s singing voice will be performed by Topher Ngo.

Other notable cast members include Matt Mercer lending his talents to Goro Majima, and David Hayter, best known for voicing Solid Snake in the Metal Gear series, portraying Osamu Kashiwagi.

Kaiji Tang takes on the role of Akira Nishikiyama, with Greg Chun providing vocals for specific musical segments.

Risa Mei voices Makoto Makimura, further strengthening the diverse lineup. In a statement from Sega, the company emphasized its focus on creating an authentic experience for international audiences, stating that the new English voiceover aims to maintain the emotional intensity and depth of the original Japanese performances, while making the story accessible to a broader player base.
