Japanese publication Nikkei added weight to these reports by stating that the current schedule targets a March 2025 release for the Switch 2.
Nikkei explained that Nintendo is using this time to "prioritize streamlining the initial sales of the new machine, and to give more time to game developers to create popular titles." The report also indicates Nintendo’s willingness to shift the date further into 2025 if it would benefit the launch.
