Hashire Hebereke: EX release date update — Spring 2026 window, Nintendo eShop lists September 3, 2026

Hashire Hebereke: EX moves to Spring 2026 after 2024 announcement; Nintendo eShop lists September 3, 2026 release

Hashire Hebereke: EX, the modern remake of Sunsoft’s 1994 Super Famicom racing title Hashire Hebereke, has been pushed into a Spring 2026 launch window following its 2024 announcement.

The remake is being published by Gravity Games Arise and was initially slated for a 2025 release.

The project revives a Japan-only Super Famicom original and brings it to contemporary platforms via a listing on the Japanese Nintendo eShop.

Developer and remake details

The original Hashire Hebereke launched on the Super Famicom in 1994 and remained a Japan-only release.

The remake, Hashire Hebereke: EX, retains the core character-based kart racing concept while adding new content for modern audiences.

Confirmed features for the EX edition include additional playable characters, new race stages, a four-player online multiplayer mode, and a dedicated time attack mode.

The remake also supports local four-player multiplayer, which the developer demonstrated in early builds.

Livestream and alpha build preview

On April 3 (9:00 p.m.

Japan time) the team hosted a livestream to showcase an alpha build and a demonstration of four-player local multiplayer on YouTube.

The presentation offered an early look at the remake’s handling, track design, and multiplayer lobby flow.

The developer credited Inti Creates for passing along the news about the preview stream.

Release window update and eShop listing

Originally announced in 2024 with a planned 2025 launch, the release window was subsequently shifted to Spring 2026.

A later listing on the Japanese Nintendo eShop, dated May 20, shows a planned release date of September 3, 2026.

That eShop entry is currently the most specific public release information available and identifies the game for Nintendo’s platform storefront.

What to watch next

Publishers and developers commonly use platform storefront listings and livestream previews to communicate schedule changes and gameplay updates.

For Hashire Hebereke: EX, the eShop listing and the alpha livestream together provide verified milestones: a Spring 2026 target window and a September 3, 2026 date on the Japanese Nintendo eShop.

Fans and industry observers should watch official publisher channels and the Nintendo eShop for final platform confirmations, pricing, and any further date adjustments.
