Resident Evil Requiem: Capcom Announces Switch 2 Release Date, Editions, and Amiibo Details

Capcom has officially unveiled a trove of new information for the highly anticipated Resident Evil Requiem, confirming its launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform is set for February 27, 2025.

Resident Evil Requiem, the latest entry in the acclaimed survival horror series, continues Capcom's tradition of pushing the boundaries on both narrative and technical innovation.

This marks a notable milestone as the Resident Evil franchise expands its presence on Nintendo hardware, coinciding with the 30th anniversary celebrations for the series in 2026. Starting today, pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem are available via the Switch 2 eShop.

The standard edition is priced at £64.99, while a deluxe edition comes in at £74.99.

Both editions reward early buyers with the exclusive Grace: Apocalypse costume.

The deluxe edition further enhances the gameplay experience, offering five unique costumes including Grace's Costume: Dimitrescu, two visual filters such as Filter: Apocalypse, four distinctive weapon skins like the S&S Weapon Skin: Apocalypse, two collectible charms including the iconic Mr.

Raccoon, an Audio Pack themed after Raccoon City Classic, and a set of files titled Letters from 1998. Alongside these digital offerings, Capcom has revealed a limited edition Resident Evil Requiem Pro Controller for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Scheduled for release on the same day as the game, the controller features a gunmetal finish adorned with recognizable series iconography—an appealing collector’s item for Resident Evil enthusiasts. Looking further ahead, Capcom has announced that a new Grace Ashcroft amiibo will launch in summer 2026 for the Switch 2.
