Capcom has released its high-profile Resident Evil remakes—Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4—on Nintendo Switch 2, with all three titles now available worldwide on the Nintendo eShop.

To support the launch, Capcom issued a short promotional trailer highlighting the series' updated visuals and included content.

These are the fully reworked remakes of Capcom’s classic survival-horror entries.

Resident Evil 2 originally shipped as a remake on January 25, 2019; Resident Evil 3's remake followed on April 3, 2020; and the modern overhaul of Resident Evil 4 released on March 24, 2023.

All three were developed by Capcom and earned recognition for bringing the series’ tension and atmosphere into a contemporary over-the-shoulder presentation.

Capcom’s product descriptions have framed the remakes around updated perspective and modern technology.

For Resident Evil 2, the company describes a former rookie cop Leon S.

Kennedy and Claire Redfield—recently arrived in Raccoon City—facing an unprecedented biological catastrophe and a desperate fight for survival.

The remake emphasizes an over-the-shoulder camera, modernized horror presentation, and expanded story elements alongside existing downloadable content.

Resident Evil 3 is presented from Jill Valentine’s point of view as she navigates a collapsing Raccoon City, pursued relentlessly by the bio-engineered assassin Nemesis.

Capcom highlights the remake’s upgraded over-the-shoulder gameplay, visual overhaul, and deeper narrative focus compared with the original.

Resident Evil 4 follows Leon S.

Kennedy six years after the Raccoon City incident, sent to rescue the president’s daughter amid a rural outbreak caused by the Las Plagas parasite.

The remake retains the pivotal third-person perspective while enhancing immersion, threat design, and story depth; it also includes the Separate Ways side campaign and other previously released downloadable content.

All three remakes are available now on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2.

The launch trailer distributed by Capcom showcases footage from each title and underscores the studio’s intent to bring its flagship horror catalog to Nintendo’s next-generation handheld-console hardware.

For industry readers tracking platform ports and publisher strategy, this rollout underscores Capcom’s ongoing effort to expand the reach of its major franchises across current-generation hardware.
