Capcom has unveiled an exciting suite of hardware and collectible tie-ins to celebrate the highly anticipated launch of Resident Evil Requiem on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
Scheduled for release on February 27, 2026, Resident Evil Requiem marks a major milestone for the franchise’s presence on Nintendo platforms, with several notable announcements revealed via an official update video.
Among the standout reveals is the newly announced Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller themed after Resident Evil Requiem.
This special edition controller, set to release day-and-date with the game, features design elements inspired by in-game newspaper clippings, offering fans a unique piece of hardware that captures the tense and investigative spirit of the upcoming title.
The update also introduced the first-ever amiibo figure based on the Resident Evil series: Grace Ashcroft, one of Requiem’s central characters.
Although Capcom has not yet disclosed the final design for the Grace Ashcroft amiibo, fans can look forward to its release in Summer 2026.
This marks an important crossover for both Capcom and Nintendo, bringing the world of Resident Evil into the popular amiibo ecosystem for the first time.
As part of today’s broader content and collector-focused announcements, Capcom detailed two Resident Evil Requiem special editions for Switch 2.
The Deluxe Edition will include a variety of digital bonuses, such as five unique character costumes, four weapon skins, two alternate screen filters, and two weapon charms, all designed to enhance player immersion and personalization.
For those seeking an even more premium experience, the Premium Edition adds an exclusive lenticular card alongside all Deluxe Edition content.
In addition, Capcom will launch the Resident Evil Generation Pack for Nintendo Switch 2.
This special bundle offers players access to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition, Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, and Resident Evil Requiem through game-key cards, making it easy for new and returning fans to experience the saga in its entirety on Nintendo’s latest hardware.
All three titles are slated to be available on Switch 2 at launch on February 27, 2026.
These comprehensive offerings underscore Capcom’s ongoing commitment to delivering full-featured, fan-oriented experiences on Nintendo consoles.
The introduction of the Resident Evil series to the Nintendo Switch 2 library, complete with collector’s hardware and new amiibo support, solidifies 2026 as a landmark year for both Resident Evil and dedicated Nintendo audiences.
