UK Prop Maker Brings Resident Evil Requiem’s The Girl to Life with Life-Sized Animatronic
Resident Evil Requiem, Capcom’s latest installment in its legendary survival-horror franchise, continues to captivate the gaming community with its chilling monsters and intense gameplay.
Released on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam, the game introduces players to Grace Ashcroft and a new, relentless pursuer: The Girl.
The terrifying creature has now stepped from digital nightmares into reality, thanks to the extraordinary talents of UK-based prop maker and cosplayer Littlejem. Littlejem, an experienced creator specializing in gaming-inspired props, has stunned fans with her ambitious project—a life-sized animatronic recreation of The Girl from Resident Evil Requiem.
Sharing her progress on Instagram, she documented the challenging build from start to finish.
Using a massive Halloween skeleton as the foundation, Littlejem dismantled and rebuilt the structure with PVC pipes, wires, expanding foam, and cardboard to achieve the ominous silhouette.
For the realistic musculature and skin textures, she applied layers of foam clay, tissue paper, and latex, sculpting and detailing the form until it closely matched Capcom’s in-game design. In a follow-up video, Littlejem unveiled the final touches that brought the creature to life.
She meticulously fabricated The Girl's tattered dress, hand-painting each detail and spray-brushing highlights to replicate its unsettling appearance.
The result is a lifelike animatronic prop that blends artistry with disturbing realism, earning high praise across the gaming cosplay and prop-making communities. Adding to the authenticity, Littlejem transformed herself into protagonist Grace Ashcroft, using custom cosplay to stage immersive photos with her animatronic creation.
This dual dedication to cosplay and prop-making demonstrates Littlejem’s versatile talent and passion for the Resident Evil series. This is not the first time Littlejem has tackled major gaming icons.
In a previous project, she crafted a full-size, animatronic King of Red Lions boat from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
Remarkably, the boat was not only true to its in-game behavior—with an animatronic head—but also seaworthy, demonstrating her exceptional skill in blending function and form. Resident Evil Requiem has quickly achieved commercial success, surpassing 5 million units sold across all platforms.
The title is set to receive future updates, including Story DLC and a photo mode, according to Capcom.
With community talents like Littlejem paying tribute through breathtaking creations, Resident Evil Requiem’s influence on fans and creators is evident, cementing its place among the year’s most iconic releases.
