LEGO Star Fox Arwing Set Gains Momentum on LEGO Ideas for Potential Nintendo LEGO Collaboration
The LEGO Ideas platform continues to be a fertile ground for fan-driven collaborations between major brands and the iconic building brick company.
The latest submission capturing the attention of Nintendo enthusiasts and LEGO collectors is an intricate recreation of the Star Fox Arwing, designed by builder Martin-Philippe Tremblay.
This creative set aims to become the next official LEGO set themed after Nintendo’s beloved franchises following hits like LEGO Super Mario and the NES set.
Star Fox, originally released for the SNES in 1993, is one of Nintendo’s most enduring franchises, known for its space-faring action and memorable characters like Fox McCloud and Falco Lombardi.
Tremblay’s LEGO Ideas project brings this universe to life by meticulously crafting an Arwing Starfighter complete with detailed support elements.
The proposed set includes a Computer Diagnostic Bay with functional lights indicating launch readiness, a Launching Ramp inspired by mechanics from Star Fox 64, and a Repair Buggy that serves as both crane and ladder.
The submission also features exclusive mini-figures of Fox McCloud and Falco Lombardi, allowing fans to recreate classic Star Fox scenes.
The Arwing itself is engineered to lock securely into the ramp, a design detail inspired by the dramatic launch sequences familiar to players of the Nintendo Switch and earlier consoles.
According to Tremblay, additional figures such as Slippy Toad and Peppy Hare are hoped for in a final set, expanding the Star Fox crew representation.
Tremblay explained that his inspiration originated with the launch of the original Star Fox on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and that the detailed features aim to honor both the series’ legacy and the creativity of the LEGO Ideas community.
As of the latest update, the set required just about 100 more votes to qualify for official LEGO review, with 40 days remaining in the voting period on the LEGO Ideas platform.
This community-driven project comes as Nintendo and LEGO continue to expand their collaborative range.
Alongside the Star Fox submission, LEGO recently announced a Princess Peach set that features both Cat Peach and her castle, broadening the scope of Nintendo properties represented in brick form.
Fans and collectors interested in seeing the Arwing join the ranks of official Nintendo LEGO sets can visit the LEGO Ideas website to vote and support Tremblay's project.
With LEGO’s rigorous selection process and Nintendo’s history of embracing fan favorites, this Star Fox set could soon become a highlight for both LEGO and gaming enthusiasts.
