The Pokémon Company has officially announced the launch window for its highly anticipated Pokémon-themed attraction, PokePark Kanto.
Set to open its doors in Spring 2026, this new theme park will be situated in Japan, offering Pokémon fans and families an immersive experience in the beloved world of Pokémon.
Ticket sales for PokePark Kanto are planned to commence in late 2025, giving visitors ample time to plan their trips to this groundbreaking destination.
PokePark Kanto marks a significant milestone for The Pokémon Company and Nintendo, expanding their presence beyond video games and merchandise into large-scale entertainment attractions.
Building on the franchise’s enduring popularity—since its debut on the Nintendo Game Boy in 1996—this dedicated theme park aims to create a tangible, interactive environment inspired by the series' original Kanto region.
According to The Pokémon Company’s official statement, PokePark Kanto will be divided into two primary areas: Sedge Town and Pokémon Forest.
Each area is meticulously designed to showcase Pokémon living harmoniously both with people and in their natural habitats.
Sedge Town will present a vibrant, community-driven atmosphere inspired by familiar Kanto locales, while Pokémon Forest offers a more serene exploration of Pokémon in their wild environments.
A company spokesperson described the new venture as "an opportunity for visitors of all ages to step directly into the world of Pokémon, experiencing firsthand the rich environments and iconic creatures that fans have cherished for decades." The spokesperson also emphasized that the park will feature innovative attractions, interactive experiences, and themed environments, all crafted to evoke the spirit of adventure that is central to the Pokémon franchise.
The Pokémon Company, having seen enormous success with Nintendo Switch titles such as 'Pokémon Sword and Shield' and 'Pokémon Legends: Arceus,' has continued to expand its brand through multiple avenues including mobile games, movies, and live events.
PokePark Kanto represents the next evolution in Pokémon’s cross-media presence, and is set to become a must-visit location for both domestic and international fans.
With demand for Pokémon experiences at an all-time high, PokePark Kanto’s Spring 2026 debut is expected to draw significant crowds.
Fans are encouraged to monitor official Pokémon Company channels and the eShop for updates on ticket availability and park details as the opening date approaches.
