The Pokémon Company has confirmed a collaboration between its sleep-focused mobile app Pokémon Sleep and Japanese designer vacation-home brand Not a Hotel, unveiling a Poké Ball-Themed Hotel experience that will appear in Hokkaido, Japan.

An official webpage and trailer for the project are live, showing a spherical pod set in a forest location with a large bed inside and close-up images that include a Snorlax-themed “Welcome” sign.

Not a Hotel is known for offering shared ownership of architect-designed holiday homes in scenic locations across Japan.

The company’s new Poké Ball unit reproduces the iconic Poké Ball as a full-size lodging pod, and the project is presented as a branded experience tied to Pokémon Sleep.

The Pokémon Company has said the collaboration will let guests sleep inside a life-size Poké Ball pod — in journalistic terms, the stay is a themed, in-person extension of the Pokémon Sleep concept rather than a new in-game feature.

Pokémon Sleep launched on mobile devices in 2023 as a sleep-tracking app that records rest via smartphones and compatible smartwatches and rewards users for longer sleep sessions.

Pokémon Sleep remains a mobile offering and is separate from Nintendo Switch software, Nintendo Direct presentations, or digital storefront releases on the Nintendo eShop.

The Poké Ball-Themed Hotel is scheduled to appear in Hokkaido, with further details and booking information due on September 15.

The official trailer and webpage provide the first visual confirmation of the pod-style accommodation and its forest setting; promotional images show the spherical exterior, an entry at the back, interior sleeping space and themed signage.

This collaboration is notable for bringing a mobile-app brand into a real-world hospitality project and highlights The Pokémon Company’s expanding approach to experiential promotions.

Fans interested in staying or tracking future availability should monitor the official Pokémon Company channels and the Not a Hotel website for the September 15 update.

Additional recent factual developments from the Pokémon franchise include the return of former Pokémon artist James Turner as Creative Director of Art and Design and SanDisk-branded Pokémon storage drives featuring characters such as Mew and Mewtwo.

The official announcement and creative materials for the Poké Ball-Themed Hotel are available now on the project’s webpage.
