PAX Aus 2024 is set to deliver one of its most dynamic show floors yet, and Nintendo Australia is stepping up with a stellar lineup that will anchor the main gaming area from October 10-12 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Nintendo’s participation this year will give fans and industry professionals direct access to hands-on demos of some of the most anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 titles of the year, solidifying the event as a hotspot for cutting-edge gaming experiences.
Leading Nintendo’s showcase is Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
Attendees will be among the first to preview this highly awaited title before its official release on October 16, 2024.
Joining the excitement is Kirby Air Riders, set for launch on November 20, making its playable debut at PAX Aus and promising to attract Kirby fans and newcomers alike.
The booth will also spotlight two major upcoming games: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment.
Both titles are slated for release later this year, with official release dates confirmed just last week.
This marks a rare chance for the public to experience early gameplay before launch.
Speaking to the excitement surrounding the showcase, a Nintendo Australia spokesperson highlighted that fans will be “able to get their first hands-on experience with these epic titles just weeks before release,” underscoring the company’s commitment to community engagement at major industry events.
Nintendo’s booth is not only about first-party blockbusters.
Attendees can also experience critically acclaimed third-party games such as Hades II, which launches later this month, and the recently released Hollow Knight: Silksong.
The lineup reflects Nintendo’s ongoing partnership with indie and AAA developers, ensuring a diverse gaming experience for Switch and Switch 2 users.
Beyond Nintendo, the PAX Aus 2024 exhibitor list includes industry giants like Xbox, Bethesda, Ubisoft, Devolver Digital, and Aftershock.
Of particular note, Devolver Digital is offering the world’s first public demo of the new Cult of the Lamb DLC, Woolhaven.
Alongside gameplay reveals, fans can enjoy exclusive merchandise and photo opportunities, such as having pictures taken with The Lamb character in the in-game Temple set.
The gaming celebration extends further, featuring a vast tabletop gaming area and appearances by prominent voices like Amelia Tyler, Ify Nwadiwe, Luke Dale, Josh Sawyer, Joshua Mills, and Gavin Verhey as Storytime speaker.
With hundreds of interactive experiences and industry figures converging under one roof, PAX Aus 2024 is shaping up to be a milestone event for Nintendo and the broader gaming community.
Pure Nintendo will be on hand to deliver comprehensive coverage of new discoveries and game demos throughout the October 10-12 weekend.
For longtime Nintendo fans and the gaming industry at large, this year's PAX Aus promises a can’t-miss opportunity to connect with the next wave of Nintendo Switch 2 and eShop releases firsthand.
