Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac Brings Classic 3D Platforming to Nintendo Switch 2 with Enhanced Graphics and New Features

Bandai Namco Entertainment has formally introduced Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac with a detailed graphics comparison trailer, highlighting the remastered 3D platformer’s arrival on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.

This updated edition of the classic game is scheduled to launch both physically and digitally via the Nintendo eShop on September 26, 2025, inviting fans and newcomers alike to revisit one of the most celebrated entries in the Pac-Man franchise. The newly released trailer demonstrates how Bandai Namco has reimagined the game’s distinct environments and memorable boss battles.

According to the development team, the goal was to ensure that “the iconic visuals and gameplay that defined Pac-Man World 2 are brought faithfully into a new generation, with enhanced graphics and modernized features.” Pac-Man World 2 originally hit shelves in 2002, captivating players with its blend of platforming action and the signature charm of Pac-Land.

Across six vividly designed worlds—including lush meadows, icy peaks, and volcanic landscapes—players guide Pac-Man through inventive challenges, facing off against the infamous Ghosts and their nefarious boss, Spooky.

The beloved 3D platformer is remembered for its engaging level design and imaginative settings. Building upon the legacy of the original, Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac has undergone a comprehensive remake.

Players can look forward to enhanced gameplay mechanics, improved graphical fidelity, and—for the first time—full voice acting for each character.

Among the key new additions is local co-op multiplayer, which enables up to two players to traverse the game’s colorful stages together.

Players who own Pac-Man World Re-Pac, the previous remake of the original Pac-Man World, will unlock a special in-game Toc-Man costume at launch, providing an extra incentive for series enthusiasts to expand their Pac-Man experience.
