The collection bundles the historic cassette release with two modernised versions of the game and a range of physical extras aimed at collectors and retro gaming enthusiasts.
The Legacy Collection contains three distinct iterations of Football Manager.
At its core is the original 1982 Football Manager on cassette, faithfully reproduced for collectors.
Complementing that are Football Manager Revisited, a revamped take on the original reworked by developer Glen Anderson that adds the top four European leagues, updated contemporary teams and players, and a number of new features; and Football Manager Revisited: International Edition, which includes recreations of the 1982 and 2026 World Cups (the 1982 tournament scenario is exclusive to the physical release).
Digital versions of all three games are also available as free downloads, per the publisher.
The physical presentation is deliberately premium.
The set is shipped in a protective slipcase and presentation box with foam-protected cassette editions and reversible covers.
Additional collector-focused items include a signed replica of Kevin Toms’s Addictive Games business card and a full-colour 24-page “Matchday Programme.” According to the programme’s contents list, readers will find player profiles from the original squad in sticker-book format, a Roy of the Rovers–inspired comic strip chronicling Kevin Toms’s career, archive photography and development documents, restored vintage artwork, and contemporary reviews, adverts and puzzles.
Allan Turvey of Midnight Brew Games explained the motivation behind the release, saying the publisher assembled the set to recognise Football Manager not just as an early management simulation on an 8-bit computer but as a culturally significant work whose history reflects wider social change in Britain, and that the set was intended to tell that story properly.
Turvey also noted that the digital releases are non-commercial free downloads and that the limited physical run is intended as a souvenir piece; he expressed hope the collection would be received in that spirit regarding licenses for teams and players.
Ordering is open now from Midnight Brew Games.
The limited-run collection is priced at £36 with an additional £8 for UK delivery and is expected to ship in June/July 2026.
