Nintendo Showcases Nintendo Switch 2 Demos and Iconic Franchises at PAX West 2025

Nintendo is setting the stage for an exciting showcase at PAX West 2025, returning to Seattle’s Arch Building Expo Hall from August 29 to September 1.

For 2025, the company is doubling its presence, with two dedicated booths providing early access to an array of upcoming games and highlighting the capabilities of the newly released Nintendo Switch 2 system. Among the highly anticipated offerings, attendees can experience the first public hands-on demo in the United States of Kirby Air Riders, helmed by acclaimed game director Masahiro Sakurai.

This marks a significant milestone for the popular pink puffball, as Nintendo brings an all-new vehicular action adventure to the Nintendo Switch 2 platform.

Fans eager to get behind the wheel will need to secure a reservation for this exclusive demo. Pokémon enthusiasts will also have their moment in the spotlight with the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition demo.

For the first time, players will be able to catch, battle, and Mega Evolve Pokémon in real time using the enhanced capabilities of the Switch 2 hardware.

To access either Kirby Air Riders or Pokémon Legends: Z-A demos, visitors must obtain a Warp Pipe Pass, which opens for registration on August 21 at 9 a.m.

Passes are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and interested attendees can register via Nintendo’s official event page. Beyond these headline attractions, Nintendo’s second booth hosts a diverse lineup celebrating both indie favorites and AAA third-party developers that have embraced the Nintendo Switch 2.

Attendees can delve into Hollow Knight: Silksong, the long-awaited sequel from Team Cherry, as well as experiment with chaotic co-op action in Borderlands 4.

RPG fans won’t want to miss the opportunity to traverse The Lands Between in ELDEN RING Tarnished Edition or battle through the vibrant reimagining of Midgar in FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE.

Rounding out the booth’s offerings is Hades II, where players can master dark sorcery against formidable new threats.

Unlike the main demo stations, this booth does not require any reservation, enabling all show-goers to explore the titles at their convenience. Nintendo’s multifaceted presence at PAX West 2025 highlights its commitment to both legacy franchises and groundbreaking partnerships, reinforcing the Nintendo Switch 2 as a central platform for innovative gameplay.
