Description

Nintendo has unveiled an exciting expansion for its ‘My Mario’ line of children’s toys, confirming the arrival of new Yoshi plushes and a dedicated Yoshi app.

Originally introduced in August 2024, the ‘My Mario’ brand is Nintendo’s initiative aimed at families, providing age-appropriate Mario-themed products designed to accompany children from infancy and through their early years.

The move to feature Yoshi further diversifies the line, cementing Nintendo’s commitment to cultivating next-generation fans in the ever-growing family gaming market. In a recent update published by Nintendo of Japan, the company officially announced that Yoshi-themed merchandise and digital content will debut in Japan starting November 18, 2025.

Central to this expansion is the launch of a new free Yoshi app, available on both Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms.

This mirrors the earlier Mario app, providing an interactive experience where young players can engage with Yoshi by tapping, stretching his tongue to eat items, and watching a variety of colorful Yoshi characters hatch from eggs.

After a period of play, Yoshi will "fall asleep," encouraging children to rest—a subtle nod to family wellness and healthy play habits. The product lineup extends beyond digital entertainment.

Alongside the Yoshi app, Nintendo is set to release a collection of Yoshi plushes, including a talking and singing version that sways to music.

The plushes feature soft pastel colors, evoking the charm and nostalgia associated with Nintendo’s iconic character.

Additional merchandise includes a themed picture book, a rattle, and a dudu—each designed for interactive, tactile, and sensory play.

New building blocks inspired by Yoshi, Luigi, and Peach will also be available as part of the assortment, arriving alongside the app’s release on November 18, 2025.

The Yoshi picture book is slated for release on November 20, 2025. The ‘My Mario’ initiative is another example of Nintendo’s prowess in bridging digital experiences with physical products, reinforcing the brand’s presence beyond the Nintendo Switch and eShop, and deepening its connection with both children and their parents.

As Yoshi joins the lineup with a robust selection of merchandise and a new interactive app, Nintendo continues to demonstrate its ability to innovate within the realm of family-friendly gaming and children’s entertainment in Japan.
