Game overview Atelier Karia positions itself as a fantasy alchemy RPG built around discovery and memory. Koei Tecmo frames the game as an experience that encourages players to reconnect with the past while exploring new environments. The story spans two major regions: the surface continent of Aladiss and a newly revealed underground area called the Subterranea. Gameplay and synthesis systems The game’s core loop centers on gathering ingredients, synthesizing items, and using those items in both exploration and combat. Atelier Karia introduces a new synthesis mechanic that uses discrete mana pieces and connection lines; the selection and arrangement of mana pieces during crafting will alter item properties.
