SmileFest 2024 Unveils New Nendoroid Figures for Kirby, Pikmin, and Sonic on Nintendo Switch
SmileFest 2024, the annual celebration hosted by Good Smile Company, brought exciting news for Nintendo enthusiasts and collectors this week.
Renowned for its high-quality, video game-inspired Nendoroid figures, Good Smile Company revealed several new additions at this year’s event, spanning iconic franchises such as Kirby, Pikmin, and Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog.
The event also showcased the latest developments in gaming-related collectibles, further expanding the appeal for fans of Nintendo Switch titles and beyond.
The Pikmin series was represented with a new Nendoroid figure of the notorious Bulborb—one of the most recognizable foes in Nintendo’s real-time strategy game.
Debuting in the original Pikmin on Nintendo GameCube and continuing to appear in later titles, the Bulborb is infamous for its appetite for Pikmin.
While an official launch date for this Bulborb Nendoroid has not yet been announced, Good Smile Company assured collectors that updates will follow as soon as they are available.
The Kirby franchise, developed by HAL Laboratory and beloved on platforms from Nintendo Switch to earlier systems, also received special attention.
Two new figures debuted: the Kirby Café Ver.

Both figures highlight Good Smile Company’s craftsmanship and attention to detail, offering Kirby fans delightful new additions to their collections.
Expanding beyond Nintendo’s own characters, Good Smile Company also introduced a new Nendoroid for Shadow the Hedgehog from Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
This highly articulated figure allows for dynamic posing, capturing Shadow’s distinctive personality and style.
The Sonic series has continued to maintain its fanbase on Nintendo Switch and other platforms, making this announcement particularly significant for dedicated collectors.
Additionally, the event featured collectible news related to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a major 2023 release for Nintendo Switch.
Good Smile Company presented a figma prototype of Princess Zelda, giving fans an early look at the figure to come, as well as the debut of a full-color Ganondorf figma version.
Both were designed to reflect their appearances in Tears of the Kingdom, further cementing Good Smile Company’s reputation for authenticity and detail.
While release dates for these figures remain pending, their reveals at SmileFest 2024 underscore Good Smile Company’s ongoing collaboration with Nintendo and major game developers like SEGA.
With franchises such as Kirby, Pikmin, Sonic the Hedgehog, and The Legend of Zelda represented, these new collectibles are poised to excite fans and further enhance the ever-growing landscape of video game memorabilia.
