The highly anticipated Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection continues to expand its nostalgic offering, officially adding Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero and Mortal Kombat: Special Forces to its roster.
This announcement, confirmed by an on-site booth at Gamescom 2025, demonstrates NetherRealm Studios' commitment to bringing iconic entries in the Mortal Kombat series to both Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero, originally released in 1997, stands out as a beloved action-adventure spin-off that first launched on the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation consoles.
Meanwhile, Mortal Kombat: Special Forces, which debuted exclusively for PlayStation in 2000, expands the genre further and will also become accessible to a new generation of players through the Legacy Kollection.
The confirmation at Gamescom 2025 featured an exclusive video presentation on the show floor, highlighting gameplay footage and additional features.
