Games have officially revealed the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection.
This comprehensive new compilation brings together the most influential titles from Mortal Kombat’s historic early years, launching in 2025 for Nintendo Switch, the upcoming Switch 2, and additional platforms.
The Legacy Kollection celebrates the legacy of the Mortal Kombat franchise by offering an impressive lineup of classic games.
The titles confirmed so far include:

According to the developers at Digital Eclipse, more titles are planned for inclusion, cementing this collection as a definitive archive for Mortal Kombat’s formative years across both arcade and home console platforms.
Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection stands out not only for its breadth but also for the enhancements brought to each game.
Every title is presented with newly added quality-of-life features—such as customizable controls and save states—which aim to make these classics more accessible to new and returning players.
Many of the arcade and console versions included in the Legacy Kollection will also benefit from online multiplayer support featuring rollback netcode, ensuring competitive matches are smoother and more responsive.
In an interview, representatives from Digital Eclipse explained that great care has been taken to preserve the authenticity of each version, while still adding modern conveniences and features that elevate the experience for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 user base.

It also serves as an interactive documentary chronicling the history and development of the series.
Players will have access to rare concept art, never-before-seen archival footage, and both new and vintage interviews featuring original creators Ed Boon, John Tobias, Dan Forden, and John Vogel, among others.
This historical component will guide fans through the early years of Mortal Kombat, narrating both the creative process and the epic storylines of the Elder Gods, Outworld, Edenia, and Earthrealm that have defined the franchise.
