Description

Capcom continues to celebrate its iconic franchises with a major announcement: a limited-time crossover event between Street Fighter 6 and Monster Hunter Wilds, set to energize fans of both series.

Following a recent collaboration where Street Fighter 6 content appeared in Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom has decided to reverse the crossover, bringing the hunting action into the world of its flagship fighting game.

This event demonstrates Capcom's ongoing commitment to delivering engaging, fan-focused experiences across its popular titles. The special collaboration event will run from September 1, 2025, through September 30, 2025, providing players with a unique opportunity to unlock exclusive items and enjoy a Monster Hunter-themed experience within Street Fighter 6.

All players who log in during the event period will receive special collaboration items, while the in-game Shop will offer limited-time EX colors for celebrated fighters including Blanka, Akuma, Manon, Cammy, and Ken.

These new EX colors are inspired by the monstrous creatures from the Monster Hunter series, bridging the visual identity of both titles in a creative and compelling way. In an official statement, Capcom described the event as a 'guild-authorized special collaboration,' emphasizing the synergy between the two renowned franchises.

The developer outlined that, alongside the cosmetic items, Street Fighter 6’s online Battle Hub will receive a full makeover to reflect the Monster Hunter Wilds atmosphere.

Additionally, a special Street Voter event will allow players to participate in community-driven activities, fostering engagement and competition. A highlight of the crossover is the return of the Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary Fighting Pass, offering additional rewards and commemorating two decades of Monster Hunter’s influence in the gaming industry.

The timing dovetails with Capcom’s series of anniversary celebrations, making this special event a notable addition to the Fighter Pass legacy and a treat for long-time fans. The collaboration comes on the heels of Street Fighter 6’s recent content updates, including the launch of the DLC fighter Sagat and the announcement of more fighters arriving as part of the Season 3 update.

Capcom’s ongoing expansions highlight the developer’s continued support and innovative event programming for its player base across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. While Monster Hunter Wilds has not been confirmed for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, Capcom recently revealed Monster Hunter Stories 3 is in development for Nintendo’s next-generation platform, with a scheduled release in 2026.

This ongoing investment in new hardware and cross-franchise content indicates Capcom’s strategy to engage audiences on both current and next-gen devices. Players interested in this crossover should mark their calendars for September 2025 to take full advantage of the Monster Hunter Wilds collaboration in Street Fighter 6.

With exclusive items, vibrant in-game celebrations, and the returning 20th Anniversary Fighting Pass, Capcom continues to set high expectations for its dedicated communities and solidifies its reputation as a leader in video game crossovers.
