Description

Capcom has officially unveiled the release date for the highly anticipated remake of Monster Hunter Stories, confirming its arrival on June 14, 2024, for the Nintendo Switch and other current-generation consoles.

Originally released on the Nintendo 3DS in 2016 in Japan and in 2017 internationally, Monster Hunter Stories stands out as a turn-based RPG spin-off set within the beloved Monster Hunter universe.

The remake aims to bring the series' signature monster-taming and story-driven adventure to a broader audience, leveraging new hardware capabilities for an enhanced gaming experience. Pre-orders for Monster Hunter Stories are now available, granting early adopters exclusive "King" and "Queen" outfits for the beloved Felyne companion, Navirou.

These costumes offer players a unique cosmetic incentive to jump in at launch.

In addition, Capcom is releasing the Monster Hunter Stories Collection—a digital bundle that combines both Monster Hunter Stories and its sequel, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

A physical edition of this collection will also be available to fans in western markets, providing both newcomers and longtime enthusiasts the chance to experience the series in full. This upcoming version of Monster Hunter Stories introduces a wealth of new features and content, responding to feedback from the player community and advancements in hardware technology.

Among the standout enhancements are full Japanese and English voiceovers, along with support for seven additional subtitle languages, substantially broadening the game's accessibility.

Capcom has also added a brand-new Museum Mode, offering players the opportunity to explore over 200 pieces of concept art, background music tracks, and developer sketches.

Furthermore, Western players can now access title updates that were previously exclusive to the Japanese release, ensuring parity across global versions. Visually, the remake benefits from completely overhauled models, textures, and lighting, delivering high-definition graphics that make the world of Monster Hunter Stories more vibrant and immersive than ever before.

This upgrade allows fans to experience riding and bonding with 'Monsties' on larger, modern screens—a significant leap from the original handheld experience. Capcom’s continuous support for the Monster Hunter franchise underscores the company’s commitment to evolving its classic titles for newer audiences while maintaining the essence that made them fan favorites.

With its strategic release on the Nintendo Switch and other leading consoles, Monster Hunter Stories is set to captivate both series veterans and newcomers this summer. Monster Hunter Stories launches June 14, 2024, on Nintendo Switch, with digital and physical editions available through the eShop and retailers nationwide.
