The Pokémon Company has officially launched an exciting new event for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet on the Nintendo Switch, continuing the post-launch support for the ninth generation of the iconic franchise.

Players can now participate in a 7-star Tera Raid event designed to challenge and reward dedicated trainers with exclusive Pokémon and items. The latest Tera Raid event kicked off on October 3, 2025, and will be available until October 12, 2025, at 23:59 UTC.

During this period, users playing Pokémon Scarlet are invited to confront a formidable Roaring Moon with the Dragon Tera-Type, while Pokémon Violet players will face Iron Valiant equipped with the Fairy Tera-Type.

These rare Paradox Pokémon appear only once per save file during the event and come with the distinguished Mightiest Mark, making them coveted additions for completionists and competitive battlers alike.

After catching the event Pokémon, trainers can continue to re-enter the raid for various valuable rewards. Complementing the main 7-star challenge, The Pokémon Company has also introduced 5-star Tera Raid battles.

Scarlet players gain access to Past Paradox Pokémon, while those on Violet can battle Future Paradox Pokémon, expanding the opportunities to build diverse and powerful teams throughout the event window. In a statement adapted for clarity, a representative from the official Pokémon information resource Serebii.net confirmed: “The latest Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raid Battle Event is now live, featuring Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant in 7-Star Tera Raid Battles, running until October 12th at 23:59 UTC.” Of note, current reports indicate that players are unable to join event raids hosted in the opposite version of their game—meaning Scarlet users cannot enter Violet-exclusive raids and vice versa.
