Metal Gear In Concert Coming to London’s Royal Albert Hall: First UK Performance Announced
Fans of the legendary Metal Gear series have a new reason to celebrate this year: the acclaimed Metal Gear In Concert will make its highly anticipated United Kingdom debut at the historic Royal Albert Hall in London.
This special event, set for Saturday, November 1st, 2024, marks the first time the critically lauded multimedia concert will be performed for UK audiences, following successful shows in Osaka, Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, and Paris.
Launched in Osaka in 2017, Metal Gear In Concert is a global tribute to the music and legacy of the franchise developed by Konami.
The performance features iconic compositions from across the Metal Gear series, delivered by the world-renowned Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra under the baton of conductor Nicholas Buc.
Concertgoers will experience the immersive blend of live orchestral music with synchronized video footage projected on a giant screen, offering a unique audiovisual journey through the stealth-action series spawned in 1987.
The event will feature special guest performances by singer and voice actor Donna Burke—widely recognized for her work on tracks such as “Heaven’s Divide” and “Sins of the Father”—as well as actress Stefanie Joosten, who provided vocals for the haunting “Quiet’s Theme.” Both artists are beloved figures within the Metal Gear community and will lend their voices to an evening that pays homage to the franchise’s enduring impact on gaming and music.
Two performances are scheduled on November 1st: a matinee at 2:30 pm and an evening show at 7:30 pm.
Priority booking for friends and patrons of the Royal Albert Hall opens Tuesday, April 16th, at 10:00 am BST.
General ticket sales will commence on Wednesday, April 17th, also at 10:00 am, available directly through the Royal Albert Hall Box Office.
The concert’s UK debut coincides with ongoing interest in the Metal Gear series, which has sold millions of copies worldwide and remains a pillar of Konami’s game portfolio.
The return of its evocative soundtrack—performed live by some of the world’s top orchestral talent—underscores the franchise’s lasting legacy and creative achievement in both the gaming and music industries.
