Capcom has released a free DLC update for Mega Man Star Force: Legacy Collection that brings music from the Mega Man Battle Network series into the collection's gallery and battle playlists.
The update adds 43 background tracks sourced from the Battle Network games and lets players assign those tracks to battles and in-game screens, expanding the collection's audio options.
The Legacy Collection, developed and published by Capcom, already bundles the main Mega Man Star Force entries and now includes Battle Network series tracks as a no-cost addition.
Capcom is encouraging players to download the update immediately so they can access the new music library.
The company confirmed that the gallery now holds 43 iconic tracks that can be added to a player’s favourites list for quick access during play.
Under the DLC, background music for normal battles, boss battles, final boss battles, victory jingles, and the comp space can be swapped out with music taken from the following Mega Man Battle Network titles: Mega Man Battle Network, Mega Man Battle Network 2, Mega Man Battle Network 3, Mega Man Battle Network 4, Mega Man Battle Network 4.5, Mega Man Battle Network 5, Mega Man Battle Network 6, and Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team DS.
In plain terms, players can now battle EM Viruses across the Wave World while listening to classic NetBattling tunes from the Battle Network era.
The update integrates the tracks into the collection's gallery interface, giving players the ability to browse, preview, and favourite individual songs for convenient access in combat and hub screens.
This addition emphasizes Capcom’s continued support for preserving and enhancing legacy Mega Man releases by providing new, museum-style audio options for fans.
Mega Man Star Force: Legacy Collection includes the following titles: Mega Man Star Force Leo, Mega Man Star Force Dragon, Mega Man Star Force Pegasus, Mega Man Star Force 2 Zerker×Ninja, Mega Man Star Force 2 Zerker×Samurai, Mega Man Star Force 3 Black Ace, and Mega Man Star Force 3 Red Joker.
Players interested in the update should confirm availability for their platform via the appropriate digital storefront, such as the Nintendo eShop, and download the free DLC to access the new Battle Network soundtrack content.
