Description

GungHo Entertainment and Nihon Falcom have released a brand-new trailer for the highly anticipated The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, a full remake of the beloved first entry in the Trails / Kiseki role-playing series.

Originally developed by Nihon Falcom and first launched for PC in Japan in 2004—then ported to PSP in 2006 and released in the West in 2011—the RPG has become renowned for its intricate storytelling and memorable characters.

Now, with its upcoming Fall 2025 release, fans both new and old have much to look forward to as the classic title is being reimagined for modern platforms, including the Nintendo Switch. The newly unveiled trailer showcases all eight of the main playable characters, offering fans their first look at updated character profiles, fresh artwork, and immersive in-game screenshots.

Notably, GungHo Entertainment has confirmed the return of the full English voice cast from previous releases, a decision that has been met with enthusiasm by longtime fans.

Leading the ensemble once again are Stephanie Sheh and Johnny Yong Bosch, who reprise their roles as Estelle and Joshua Bright respectively.

While the English voices remain familiar, the Japanese voice cast has been entirely replaced for this edition. Each of the prominent party members receives a spotlight introduction: - **Estelle Bright** (voiced by Stephanie Sheh in English, Tomoyo Takayanagi in Japanese), a spirited trainee Bracer from Liberl Kingdom known for her resilience and optimistic outlook. - **Joshua Bright** (Johnny Yong Bosch / Natsumi Fujiwara), Estelle’s adoptive brother with a quiet intelligence and mysterious past. - **Scherazard Harvey** (Michelle Ruff / Chika Anzai), the formidable "Silver Streak," a senior Bracer and mentor figure. - **Olivier Lenheim** (Matthew Mercer / Takehito Koyasu), an enigmatic Erebonian musician with unpredictable motives. - **Agate Crosner** (Ben Pronsky / Taku Yashiro), stern and powerful, wielding his massive sword as the "Heavy Blade." - **Kloe Rinz** (Cristina Vee / Hina Youmiya), a compassionate student from Jenis Royal Academy. - **Tita Russell** (Brianna Knickerbocker / Hikaru Iida), an earnest young engineer with a passion for mechanics. - **Zin Vathek** (Vic Chao / Tetsu Inada), a martial arts master from Calvard Republic with a warm, protective demeanor. The official website now features detailed character bios, striking new visuals, and high-resolution screenshots that highlight the updated aesthetic of this remake. Reflecting on the franchise’s legacy, the original Trails in the Sky made its debut on PC in Japan in 2004 and quickly expanded to additional platforms, with the West receiving the title in 2011.

The series, known as Kiseki in Japan, is widely regarded for its layered narrative and interconnected world-building.

The most recent English release in the franchise, Trails through Daybreak II, continued to expand the saga’s reach, demonstrating the enduring popularity of the property. As The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter prepares for its Fall 2025 launch, excitement is mounting among RPG fans eager to experience the beginning of the Kiseki saga on Nintendo Switch, PC, and more.

With GungHo Entertainment and Nihon Falcom at the helm—and the cherished English voice cast returning—this remake is poised to introduce Liberl’s adventure to a whole new generation.
