LEGO Voyagers and LEGO Party! Announced for Nintendo Switch: Release Dates, Features, and Developer Highlights

Nintendo Switch owners can look forward to a brick-filled adventure later this year as two brand new LEGO games have been officially announced: LEGO Voyagers and LEGO Party! Developed by acclaimed studios including Annapurna Interactive, Light Brick Studios, Fictions, and SMG Studio, both titles are set to expand the LEGO video game library with innovative experiences designed for both solo and multiplayer fun. LEGO Voyagers comes from the creative minds at Annapurna Interactive and Light Brick Studios, best known for their critically acclaimed puzzle title, LEGO Builder’s Journey.

This new release introduces a two-player cooperative adventure, inviting players to embody two sentient LEGO bricks on a mission across spectacular, brick-built realms.

The central narrative revolves around friendship and unity, as two companions set out to rescue a deserted spaceship, ultimately exploring themes of connection and teamwork. Players can expect a richly atmospheric experience, where gameplay emphasizes tumbling, jumping, snapping together, and constructing solutions within immersive LEGO environments.

The adventure features a poetic, nonverbal story complemented by an evocative soundtrack that enhances the sense of exploration.

Unique to LEGO Voyagers is the innovative cooperative mode, which allows players to collaborate locally on a single screen or team up online.

Notably, the title offers a Friend’s Pass—if one player owns the game, they can invite a friend to join the entire co-op journey for free, making it highly accessible for shared play.

LEGO Voyagers is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch in 2024, with release details to follow on the official Nintendo eShop. Alongside LEGO Voyagers, Switch fans will also get LEGO Party!, developed by Fictions in collaboration with SMG Studio.

Inspired by popular multiplayer franchises like Mario Party, LEGO Party! delivers fast-paced competitive action through a suite of LEGO-themed minigames.

The title supports up to four players both in local and cross-platform online multiplayer, allowing for customization of minifigures and a race to collect coveted Golden Bricks through a variety of challenges. LEGO Party! celebrates the expansive LEGO universe, drawing content and design from iconic sets such as LEGO Pirates, LEGO Space, and LEGO NINJAGO.

The launch trailer teases over 60 unique minigames and wacky Challenge Zones, guaranteeing hours of family-friendly entertainment.

LEGO Party! is confirmed to arrive on Nintendo Switch, as well as Steam for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4, all within 2024. Both titles underscore the ongoing commitment by major developers to bring innovative, LEGO-themed adventures to Nintendo Switch.
