Ubisoft Announces Just Dance+ Subscription Price Increase and 2026 Content Roadmap for Nintendo Switch

Ubisoft, the global publisher renowned for shaping the rhythm game genre, has officially revealed a significant update to its Just Dance+ service—an announcement impacting Nintendo Switch players and fans of the Just Dance franchise worldwide.

Just Dance+, available via the eShop on Nintendo Switch and additional platforms, is Ubisoft’s premium streaming subscription giving users access to a constantly updated library of chart-topping songs, spanning multiple eras and music genres. Effective April 2026, Ubisoft will implement new pricing for the Just Dance+ subscription.

The company confirmed that the monthly rate will rise to $4.99 / €4.99, up from the current $3.99 / €3.99.

The three-month pass will increase to $12.99 / €12.99 (previously $9.99 / €9.99), while the annual twelve-month pass will now cost $29.99 / €29.99, compared to the previous $24.99 / €24.99.

Ubisoft attributed these price adjustments to the evolving landscape of music licensing, which ensures a sustainable and expanding catalog for players. In a recent update, a Ubisoft representative stated that the Just Dance team has been carefully evaluating how Just Dance+ evolves as a platform and how best to maintain both quality and long-term viability.

The service, fundamentally built around music, is deeply influenced by ever-changing licensing agreements.

These agreements determine which songs can be kept, renewed, or added to the library—a factor directly influencing Just Dance+’s ongoing offering.

As a result, the subscription pricing structure must adapt to support the growth and sustainability of the service. For current and prospective subscribers on Nintendo Switch and other supported systems, Ubisoft highlighted a strong future roadmap.

Starting with immediate effect, tracks from Just Dance 2023 Edition are accessible through the service, adding hit songs such as “Sweet But Psycho” by Ava Max, “Toxic” by Britney Spears, “Driver’s License” by Olivia Rodrigo, “Dynamite” by BTS, and “Walking On Sunshine” by Katrina & The Waves to the expanding catalog. On Tuesday, February 10, a new set of songs will join Just Dance+, including “STAY” by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber, “Telephone” by Lady Gaga featuring Beyoncé, “Locked Out of Heaven” by Bruno Mars, “Can’t Stop The Feeling!” by Justin Timberlake, and “Magic” by Kylie Minogue.

Furthermore, from February 17 onwards, selections from Just Dance 2024 will arrive in waves, further enriching the platform’s offerings on Nintendo Switch and beyond. In addition to expanding its musical repertoire, Just Dance+ is set to introduce new maps—such as the much-anticipated “360” by Charli XCX—and technical enhancements aimed at improving the gaming experience.

Features like the Camera Controller Mode will soon be compatible with newly added maps from Just Dance 2023 and 2024 Editions, while ongoing scoring consistency updates are planned across the entire Just Dance+ library. To round out its 2026 strategy, Ubisoft will launch the Wonder Tales Music Pack this spring, inviting players on a fantastical dance journey inspired by the Melosia Realms Danceverse.

Wonder Tales weaves together imaginative themes and subtle storytelling, connecting characters and locations across its distinct maps for a unique gameplay experience. With more than a decade of innovation in rhythm gaming, Just Dance and Ubisoft continue to set industry standards for interactive music entertainment.

This latest announcement demonstrates Ubisoft’s ongoing commitment to delivering rich content on the Nintendo Switch and to adapting its subscription model to the evolving needs and expectations of its global player community.
