Super Mario Party Jamboree Reclaims Top Spot in Latest Japanese Sales Charts Japan's weekly video game sales charts, published by Famitsu, once again highlight the enduring appeal of Nintendo titles on the Nintendo Switch platform.

In the latest results (covering the week of February 3 to February 9), Super Mario Party Jamboree returned to number one, overtaking Donkey Kong Country Returns HD after a surge in sales. Super Mario Party Jamboree, developed by Nintendo, achieved 17,355 additional units sold during the week, boosting its cumulative sales to an impressive 1,175,272 units.

The game managed to unseat Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, another highly-touted Switch title, which held onto second place with 16,254 sales for the week and 180,696 units sold to date.

The continued strong performance of both titles demonstrates the staying power of Nintendo's first-party software, especially for the hybrid console. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe retained its popularity, securing the third spot with over 10,000 units sold, and pushing its lifetime sales to an astounding 6,237,947 on the Switch.

The week’s only new entrant in the top ten was Kingdom Come: Deliverance II for PlayStation 5, which had a respectable debut in fourth place, selling 6,484 units.

Completing the rest of the top ten are familiar names, including Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Minecraft (both for Nintendo Switch), and a re-entry by It Takes Two, coinciding with the lead-up to Valentine's Day. The top ten games for the week were: 1.
