Famitsu’s latest boxed game sales data for Japan reveals another commanding performance for Nintendo.
Donkey Kong Country Returns HD captured the top position on the weekly charts once again, with 22,093 additional physical units sold between January 27th and February 2nd.
The Nintendo Switch remake has now reached a cumulative total of 164,442 boxed copies, reaffirming the enduring appeal of Nintendo’s classic platformers on modern hardware.
The week also marked the arrival of several new titles.
Black Myth: Wukong had its physical edition debut on PlayStation 5, registering 10,136 units sold, while Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days 2 entered the top ten for the first time with 8,980 sales on Nintendo Switch.
Nippon Ichi Software joined the charts with Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero, which just made it into the ninth spot following its launch, reflecting continued interest in strategic RPG experiences among Japanese gamers.
