Berserk B.I.T.S Launches on Steam: Mega Man Battle Network-Inspired Idle RPG Arrives November 2025

Berserk B.I.T.S, the latest indie title from BerserkBoy Games and a spin-off of their acclaimed 2024 release Berserk Boy, is officially set to launch on Steam on November 20, 2025.

Drawing clear inspiration from the beloved Mega Man Battle Network series, this new entry delivers a unique blend of idle RPG mechanics, auto-battler strategy, and addictive chip-collecting gameplay to the PC gaming audience. Berserk B.I.T.S positions itself as an accessible game to enjoy alongside other applications, making it ideal for multitaskers and fans of idler experiences.

As a net detective, players train a digital companion known as a B.I.T (Battle.Intelligent.Teammate) to take on threats in the form of internet viruses, keeping peace in a vibrant virtual world.

Players engage in a loop of battling, acquiring new battle chips—many playfully named after foods—upgrading their B.I.T, and enhancing their customizable 'Home Net' space. Zu Ehtisham, founder and lead developer of BerserkBoy Games, reflected on the game's origins in a recent discussion with Time Extension.

He shared, "After Berserk Boy released, I noticed a wave of idle games but always felt they lacked longevity for me as a player.

Inspired by my own fascination with digital devices like P.E.T.S and Digi-vices, I merged those mechanics with elements reminiscent of Mega Man Battle Network, aiming to recreate the feeling of owning and supporting a digital companion as players do with Navis in the classic series." Ehtisham further elaborated on the customizable aspects of Berserk B.I.T.S, explaining that players can not only collect a wide variety of battle chips—over 100 are available at launch with more planned—but can also import their own sprite sheets to personalize their Battle B.I.T.

This opens up creative opportunities for players to bring their original characters into the game, a feature that the developer actively encourages. To celebrate the upcoming launch, BerserkBoy Games has released a playable demo as part of Steam Next Fest.

Players are invited to participate in a special competition: anyone who reaches level 25 in the demo and joins the team’s Discord community will be eligible to win a custom-designed B.I.T crafted by the developers themselves. Berserk B.I.T.S stands out as both a standalone experience and a love letter to fans of Mega Man Battle Network and digital-monster RPGs, offering accessible yet deep mechanics, extensive customization, and thematic nostalgia.
