Feral Interactive has officially revealed that Hitman: Absolution will be making its debut on the Nintendo Switch, with a scheduled release for late 2025.
This marks the first time Hitman: Absolution—an iconic entry in the stealth-action franchise originally developed by IO Interactive—will be available on a Nintendo platform.
In addition to the initial Switch launch, Feral has confirmed that the game will feature native support for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, with enhancements planned for 2026.
Originally launched in 2012 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, Hitman: Absolution is widely recognized for its nuanced storytelling and refined stealth mechanics.
In the game, players take control of Agent 47, the world’s most renowned contract assassin.
The narrative centers around a failed hit that forces Agent 47 to protect a teenage girl—a mission that pits him against his former agency and challenges his loyalties.
Feral Interactive has emphasized that this port will retain all the signature gameplay elements fans expect, including strategic stealth, a variety of disguises, and an arsenal of creative assassination tools.
As described by Feral Interactive, players will "explore highly detailed environments, engineer ingenious opportunities, and choose their approach as they hunt their targets.
Whether they opt for quiet efficiency or chaotic mayhem, gamers have an array of options to complete missions and conquer numerous in-game challenges."
The Switch version of Hitman: Absolution follows the successful launch of Hitman: Blood Money — Reprisal on the platform earlier in 2024, further cementing Feral Interactive’s expertise in bringing complex AAA experiences to Nintendo hardware.
Known for meticulous attention to control schemes and visual fidelity, Feral’s track record continues to impress both fans and critics alike.
The upcoming port is expected to be available via the Nintendo eShop upon release, giving a new generation of players the chance to experience Agent 47’s morally complex journey.
With the addition of dedicated Switch 2 support in 2026, players can anticipate further technical improvements, taking advantage of the next-generation hardware’s capabilities.
For more information and a first look at gameplay, Feral Interactive has released an official trailer on their YouTube channel.
As anticipation builds for the return of Agent 47, the arrival of Hitman: Absolution on Nintendo Switch signals a significant step in the continuing expansion of the franchise within the Nintendo ecosystem.
