Hamster Corporation has expanded its Arcade Archives catalog with Namco's 1995 motorcycle racer Cyber Cycles, announcing console releases for August 20, 2026.
The reissue continues Hamster's recent program of bringing Namco System 22 arcade titles to contemporary platforms following earlier conversions of Ridge Racer as part of the Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 collections.
Background and original arcade context
Cyber Cycles originally launched in arcades in 1995 as a motorcycle-themed racing game running on Namco's System 22 hardware.
The title shipped in a large two-player bike cabinet that could be linked to a second unit to create four-player matches.
In arcade form the game offered two circuits, Green Hill and Neo Yokohama, and three selectable bikes at the start: the Anthias, the NVR750R, and the Wild Hog.
Hamster's re-release: platforms, price, and features
Hamster's Arcade Archives version of Cyber Cycles will be available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 at a price of $14.99.
That edition is a single-player release and includes features typical of Arcade Archives conversions, such as Hi-Score and Caravan modes, online leaderboards, and CRT-style display filters.
A separate release for next-gen systems — PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S — is priced at $16.99 and adds a Time Attack mode plus support for the four-player linked arcade experience on compatible platforms.
Hamster characterizes the original game's premise as near-future motorcycle racing in which players pick machines with differing performance traits and compete to cross the finish line ahead of rivals.
The Arcade Archives ports aim to reproduce that arcade sensation while offering modern options like leaderboards and display filters.
Related Arcade Archives news
Alongside Cyber Cycles, Hamster is also bringing its 2024 Arcade Archives rerelease of Nichibutsu's Ninja Emaki to modern platforms as part of Arcade Archives 2.
That release will appear on Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox for Windows at a price of $9.99 on August 20, 2026.
With these additions Hamster continues to position Arcade Archives as a way for players to access faithful arcade conversions of classic Namco and niche arcade titles on current consoles and digital storefronts such as the Nintendo eShop.
