Building on the popularity of last year’s Wheatflower Wonderland expansion, City Town will introduce a vibrant metropolis teeming with fresh activities, an expanded cast of beloved Sanrio characters, and more than 30 hours of new adventures on Nintendo Switch.
Since its debut, Hello Kitty Island Adventure has attracted fans looking for a cozy, engaging social simulation experience on the Nintendo Switch.
With City Town, Sunblink and Sanrio aim to offer even more for players seeking an experience reminiscent of Animal Crossing, highlighted by creative customization and a welcoming atmosphere.
The new region, City Town, features a variety of cafés, shops, and a host of new friends, expanding the in-game world and player opportunities.
U*SA*HA*NA, a well-known Sanrio character, will be taking a starring role in this expansion.
Players will have the chance to develop their friendship with U*SA*HA*NA across 35 unlockable levels, earning a wide selection of rewards and benefits.
According to Sunblink, the expansion will include more than 90 engaging quests, with new challenges and surprises hidden throughout the city, both above ground and in underground areas.
One of the standout features in the City Town DLC is the Imagination Cafe, where players can design and customize their very own café.
Here, they can create a variety of adorable treats, such as mochi, dango, and boba tea, to serve their Sanrio friends.
The update will also bring seven new shops to the city, including a plushie boutique, blooming orchards, and a lively arcade, encouraging players to participate in city-building and community activities.
In addition to U*SA*HA*NA, familiar Sanrio faces such as Pannya-chan, Buppyu-kun, Wanwa-chan, Sora-kun, and Nyako-chan will make appearances, joining the adventure and residing in cozy apartments within the iconic Rainbow Tower.
