The city-building title has been performing strongly on digital storefronts, with Prideful Sloth reporting that Go-Go Town has taken top positions on the Nintendo eShop charts in the U.S., UK, and Japan, alongside continued sales on other platforms.
New content confirmed
Prideful Sloth confirmed that, in addition to planned roadmap items already under development, Go-Go Town will receive a fresh package of decoration assets described as Industrial and Rustic sets.
The announced additions include new arches, barriers, lamp posts, a Vehicle Stall, a Gas Pump, hay bales, and other environment pieces intended to expand player creativity and variety in city layouts.
The developer also said the update will add six new language options: Polish, Turkish, Russian, Italian, Dutch, and Indonesian.
Developer perspective and community role
Prideful Sloth’s creative director, Cheryl Vance, framed the milestone as proof of the studio’s fortunate position in a challenging market.
She emphasized the role of the Early Access community, noting players spent two years helping shape the game before the full V1.0 launch on PC and Nintendo platforms.
Vance highlighted that the strong reception in new regions — specifically naming Thailand as a notably large market for the title — has enabled the team to remain independent and continue development on Go-Go Town while planning future projects.
The studio thanked players and said the incoming content is intended as a gesture of appreciation toward the community.
Availability and platform notes
According to the developer announcement, Go-Go Town is available on PC and Nintendo Switch platforms, and has reached wide visibility on the Nintendo eShop in several major territories.
Prideful Sloth’s update underscores a common indie trajectory: lengthy Early Access development followed by a full launch and ongoing post-release support driven by community feedback.
What this means for players
For current and prospective Mayors, the update promises more decorative options and broader localization, which should make the city-building experience more expressive and accessible to players in additional regions.
With the 100,000-plus sales milestone and continued eShop chart placements, Go-Go Town’s expansion indicates sustained momentum for the indie title and its developer moving into 2027.
