G-Mode Archives Announces Digital Devil Saga, Xenosaga: Pied Piper, and Namco Chronicle for Nintendo Switch and Steam

G-Mode Archives 6th-anniversary livestream: three classic mobile games headed to Nintendo Switch (Japan) and Steam

During a G-Mode Archives 6th-anniversary livestream, G-Mode — the company known for reviving classic Japanese mobile titles — confirmed three reissues and ports for Nintendo Switch (Japan) and PC via Steam: Digital Devil Saga Avatar Tuner: A's Test Server Kanzenban, Xenosaga: Pied Piper, and Namco Chronicle.

All three releases are Japanese-language ports of original flip-phone and mobile releases and will appear on Steam for international access.

G-Mode’s announcement was straightforward: the company will reissue these legacy mobile titles for modern platforms, with the Switch versions limited to the Japanese eShop and PC versions distributed via Steam.

Digital Devil Saga Avatar Tuner: A's Test Server Kanzenban — available now

Originally developed by Atlus for mobile in 2006, Digital Devil Saga Avatar Tuner: A's Test Server Kanzenban is a Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga entry set in the Tower of Karma and follows protagonists Serph and Sera.

The release retains turn-based, strategic combat inspired by the series’ Press Turn System, includes a Mantra skill system, procedurally generated dungeon segments, and an optional 3x EXP boost.

G-Mode listed a launch discount of 10%, with the title available at about £12.14 or $14.39 at release.

Xenosaga: Pied Piper — dated April 30, 2026

Xenosaga: Pied Piper is scheduled for release on April 30, 2026.

Originally a 2004 flip-phone title, the game is set prior to the main Xenosaga episode and features a story written by series creators Tetsuya Takahashi and Soraya Saga.

The game uses a 2D overhead perspective, turn-based battles and narrative sequences that mix conversations with cinematic cutscenes.

Namco Chronicle — later in 2026

Namco Chronicle, a 2009-origin strategy RPG, is due later in 2026.

The SRPG crossover features more than 20 Namco characters from series such as Tower of Druaga, Valkyrie, and Bravoman, with segmented story acts (Fantasy, City, Space) and coordinated combo scenes and skill animations.

Availability and language

G-Mode confirmed these ports will ship in Japanese only.

The PC releases on Steam are expected to be the most accessible option for non-Japanese region players.

Each title is a preservation-minded port of original Japanese mobile or flip-phone games, following G-Mode’s ongoing efforts to bring legacy mobile content to Nintendo Switch and Steam.
