Nintendo has expanded the multimedia rollout for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave with an official manga adaptation timed to coincide with the game's Switch 2 launch.

The announcement followed Nintendo's recent Nintendo Direct presentations and was shared via the Fire Emblem social media account.

The game itself is scheduled for exclusive release on Nintendo's next console, the Switch 2, on 17 September 2026.

The manga will be authored by Kazurou Kyou, the artist responsible for the Fire Emblem Engage adaptation.

The first prologue chapter is slated to appear in the October 2026 issue of Shueisha's Saikyo Jump, which is due out in September, and will also be published on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ digital platform.

Coverage from Siliconera notes that Kyou's Engage manga ran for roughly three years, with its final volume released in Japan earlier this week; that adaptation has not received an official English localisation.

Promotional key art released by Nintendo highlights the four central heroes, the player protagonist, and a host of supporting and antagonistic characters from the game.

Nintendo's materials emphasise the story context and stakes: the setting is the Dagdan Empire at a time of festival and trial, and the narrative follows a protagonist chosen by the progenitor god Sothis to confront an existential threat.

Five years after a landmark competition known as the Heroic Games, the empire faces devastation from the revived demon god Balor, and several Heroes who once shaped the Games have gone missing.

The new title places the player in the role tasked with preventing the world's end.

This manga announcement complements Nintendo's promotional push ahead of the Switch 2 release window.

For fans tracking launch platforms and tie-ins, the adaptation provides an early avenue to explore Fortune's Weave characters and themes ahead of the 17 September 2026 console exclusive launch.

Further details about serialization length, English localisation plans, or release timing for compiled volumes have not been announced by Nintendo or Shueisha.
