Description

To celebrate the first anniversary of Fire Emblem Engage on the Nintendo Switch, Takara Tomy Arts—renowned for its creative toys and collectibles—has announced an exclusive line of Emblem Ring capsule toys.

This unique merchandise brings to life the 12 magical rings that play a pivotal role in Fire Emblem Engage, Nintendo’s tactical RPG released on January 20, 2023. The new Emblem Ring capsule toy collection, as initially reported by Siliconera, is set to launch across Japan in two distinct volumes.

Volume 1, available in late January 2024, features rings representing beloved characters Marth, Sigurd, Celica, Micaiah, Roy, and Leif.

Volume 2 completes the collection in late February 2024, introducing rings for Lyn, Lucina, Ike, Byleth, Corrin, and Eirika.

These capsule toys are accessible via vending machines throughout Japan at an affordable price of 300 yen (approximately $2 USD) each. Each ring measures approximately 2.2 cm (0.87 inches) and is expertly crafted from zinc alloy with a high-quality metallic finish.

The iconic Fire Emblem Engage logo is engraved on every ring, offering a tangible connection to the Nintendo Switch title.

These collectible items are expected to resonate strongly with fans of the strategy RPG series, which has amassed a dedicated international following since its debut. In an official company statement, Takara Tomy Arts noted that the Emblem Ring capsule toys are designed to "faithfully capture the essence of each hero ring from Fire Emblem Engage, allowing fans to celebrate the game’s anniversary in a unique, hands-on way." The release demonstrates Nintendo’s ongoing commitment to delivering quality licensed merchandise for its franchises. Currently, these Fire Emblem Engage capsule toys are only set for release in Japan, and there has been no official indication of an international launch via the Nintendo Direct, eShop, or other platforms.

Fans outside of Japan may need to rely on third-party imports to secure these exclusive collectibles.

The launch of the Emblem Ring series arrives soon after Fire Emblem Engage’s anniversary festivities, which included special in-game events and commemorative artwork from the development team.

Fire Emblem Engage, developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo, has remained a successful title on the Nintendo Switch platform, praised for its engaging combat system and vibrant character roster. For series enthusiasts and collectors of video game memorabilia, Takara Tomy Arts’ Emblem Ring capsule toys offer a noteworthy tribute to Fire Emblem Engage’s enduring popularity.

As the product hits capsule machines across Japan, fans can expect these rings to quickly become coveted items in the ever-expanding world of Nintendo merchandise.
