Level-5 has finally set a new release date for the highly anticipated RPG, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.

Unveiled during the recent Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, this next entry in the beloved Fantasy Life series is now confirmed to launch worldwide on Thursday, October 10, 2024, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

Originally expected to arrive in 2023, the release of Fantasy Life i was postponed to allow its developers more time to polish the experience.

The game re-emerged in the latest Nintendo Direct showcase, where Level-5 shared fresh gameplay footage and announced the finalized launch date, much to the delight of dedicated fans. Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time continues the whimsical atmosphere and expansive role-playing systems that have defined the franchise since its Nintendo 3DS debut.

Players will find themselves tasked with rebuilding a mysterious island, navigating a story that features time travel and discovery.

One of the game’s defining features is its flexible job system.

Known as 'Lives,' these roles include fourteen unique paths: Paladin, Mercenary, Hunter, Magician, Miner, Woodcutter, Angler, Farmer, Cook, Blacksmith, Carpenter, Tailor, Alchemist, and Artist.

Each Life offers distinct abilities and playstyles, allowing users to customize both their character progression and the island itself according to their preferences. In a statement released through the event, Level-5 reiterated their commitment to community-oriented gameplay.

Players will be able to adventure together in cooperative multiplayer, both locally and online.

Up to four players can join forces online, provided each participant holds an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription, enhancing the series’ legacy of social gameplay. Although pre-orders for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time are not yet open on the Nintendo eShop, the game can be added to wishlists in advance of its October release.

More information, including additional media and localizations, is available on the official website, which is now live in English. Level-5, the studio behind several popular Nintendo titles, is expected to continue supporting Fantasy Life i post-launch, in keeping with their history of robust RPG development.

As October 10 approaches, fans can look forward to new details and features about this highly anticipated Nintendo Switch exclusive.
