Famitsu's weekly Japanese sales report shows the newly released Switch 2 leading hardware sales this week with 32,797 units, while Nintendo and third-party software continue to dominate the top of the charts.

The data, which tracks retail and digital-packaged sales across platforms, also highlights shifts among legacy Switch models and competing platforms including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series hardware.

According to Famitsu, the hardware breakdown for the week is as follows: Switch 2 sold 32,797 units; PS5 Digital Edition sold 9,616 units; Nintendo Switch OLED sold 5,813 units; Switch Lite sold 4,221 units; PS5 Pro sold 1,020 units; original Switch sold 754 units; standard PS5 reported 277 units; Xbox Series X Digital Edition sold 465 units; Xbox Series X sold 220 units; and Xbox Series S sold 45 units.

For direct comparison, Famitsu reported last week’s hardware totals as: Switch 2 24,879; PS5 Digital Edition 8,797; Switch OLED 4,030; Switch Lite 2,553; PS5 Pro 832; Switch 482; PS5 267; Xbox Series X 180; Xbox Series S 133; Xbox Series X Digital Edition 48.

On the software front, Nintendo-published Rhythm Heaven Groove debuted at number one for Nintendo Switch with 393,378 units sold in its launch week.
