Famitsu has published boxed-sales figures for the two-week period from 3 August to 16 August, and the latest data underline Nintendo's continued strength in the Japanese retail market.

Rhythm Heaven Groove remains at the top of the software chart, while the recently launched Switch 2 leads hardware sales for the period.

According to Famitsu's report, Rhythm Heaven Groove sold 139,363 boxed units in Japan during the two-week window, bringing its lifetime boxed total to 873,839 units.

Splatoon Raiders held second place with 64,921 units sold in the period and a cumulative boxed total of 613,147.

Game Freak's Beast of Reincarnation was the only PlayStation 5 title in the top ten, debuting with 48,157 boxed units.

Other notable software results from Famitsu's top ten include Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream at 43,884 units for the period (1,562,215 lifetime), Pokémon Pokopia with 14,235 units (1,111,792 lifetime), and Powerful Pro Baseball 2026-2027 at 12,887 units (202,051 lifetime).

On the hardware side, the Switch 2 led console sales for the two-week period with 65,560 units sold, while the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition recorded 19,310 units sold over the same span.

Famitsu's hardware breakdown shows the Switch 2 at 65,560 units during the period for a lifetime total of 6,198,193.
