The publisher, known for localizing and releasing niche and retro-inspired games on Switch, will bring a varied slate including platform-puzzlers, shoot’em ups, visual novels and roguelikes.
In a statement summarizing its schedule, Eastasiasoft confirmed that seven indie games are set to arrive on Nintendo Switch in February and March 2021, each with an eShop release window and specific launch dates for most entries.
Release schedule and highlights
- #SinucaAttack — 10 Feb 2021
#SinucaAttack is a 2D platform-puzzler that applies pool-ball physics to room-based escape puzzles.
Players customize characters and cue sticks, use ricocheting shots to trigger switches and open doors, and employ jet packs as stages introduce vertical navigation and new gimmicks.
- Void Gore — 17 Feb 2021
Void Gore, billed as from the creators of Project Starship, is a vertical arcade shoot’em up.
Players progress through randomized levels, chain kills for score multipliers, collect coins to buy ship upgrades and compete on online leaderboards.
- Retrace: Memories of Death — 24 Feb 2021
Retrace: Memories of Death follows Freya and companions trapped in a hostile alternate world after a ghost tour goes wrong.
The game mixes pixel-art exploration with hand-painted character portraits and a time-rewind mechanic that lets players learn from death to find alternate routes and solutions.
- Cave Bad — 3 Mar 2021
Set in the same universe as Pity Pit, Cave Bad is a top-down roguelike starring Oratio the Dwarf.
The 8-bit-style title uses procedural generation, melee combat and bombs, and features item collection, shops and boss encounters.
- Bishoujo Battle Cyber Panic! — (February/March 2021 window)
Inspired by late-’90s arcade puzzle games, Bishoujo Battle Cyber Panic! has players draw lines to capture playfield areas, rescue silhouetted characters and box in power-ups.
The game includes 50 stages, gallery unlocks and online leaderboards.
- Synergia — 18 Mar 2021
Synergia is a cyberpunk visual novel with over 20 characters, multiple endings and nearly 100 backgrounds and CGs.
The narrative centers on Cila and the android M.A.R.A.; the soundtrack credit goes to composer Andy Andi Han.
- Hentai vs. Evil — Mar/Apr 2021
Hentai vs. Evil is a free-roaming 3D action shooter in which players rescue captured characters to add to their roster, customize appearances, and use a variety of weapons across multiple difficulty settings and modes.
All seven titles are slated for release on Nintendo Switch and will be distributed via the Nintendo eShop.
Eastasiasoft’s lineup underscores the publisher’s ongoing role in bringing niche indie and retro-inspired projects to Switch owners worldwide.
