Officially titled 'Ichiban's Holiday,' the paid DLC expansion will launch globally across all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, on April 10, 2025, bringing together two of gaming’s most charismatic worlds for a limited-time event. Hwang shared that he is a passionate fan of the Yakuza series and found considerable inspiration in its colorful storytelling and character-driven gameplay while developing Dave The Diver.

A chance meeting with the Yakuza: Like A Dragon director at the Tokyo Game Show in 2024 provided the perfect opportunity to initiate this unique partnership. "Collaborating with the Yakuza team was a dream come true," Hwang said, paraphrased.

"We wanted to bring the energy and spirit of Ichiban Kasuga into the Blue Hole, offering fans a special experience that bridges both franchises." Players will take direct control of both Cobra, a key figure in Dave The Diver, and Yakuza’s charismatic protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, in a robust beat ‘em up mode.

While the game remains single player only—there is no co-op planned for this expansion—the DLC will also feature new karaoke minigames and a host of special activities, ensuring plenty of memorable opportunities for longtime fans of both series. Notably, the 'Ichiban's Holiday' DLC will be available as a limited-time offering, with a six-month window starting from its April 10, 2025 release.

This limited run applies across all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch and eShop, making it essential for both Dave The Diver enthusiasts and Yakuza fans to dive in while the opportunity lasts.
