Crime Simulator Announced for Nintendo Switch 2: Stealth Heist Gameplay and Co-op Coming Soon

CookieDev, an independent Polish developer, in collaboration with publisher Ultimate Games SA, has officially announced the arrival of Crime Simulator on the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware platform.

This crime-underworld simulation title first launched for PC, where it quickly earned positive attention for its deep gameplay mechanics and engaging heist scenarios.

Following the game’s favorable reception on PC and its subsequent updated release on Xbox with expanded content, Nintendo Switch 2 owners can now look forward to experiencing this unique blend of stealth, co-op play, and roguelite progression.

An exact release date for the Nintendo Switch 2 version has yet to be disclosed by Ultimate Games SA. Crime Simulator invites players into an immersive first-person world where mastering the art of stealth and subterfuge is essential.

Designed as a crime simulation experience, players participate in elaborate heist-style missions that demand careful planning, infiltration, and a mix of creative tactics.

The game supports both single-player gameplay and online co-op modes for up to four participants, making teamwork and coordination central to success. According to statements from the developer, Crime Simulator emphasizes that direct confrontation is best avoided; instead, players are encouraged to sneak, strategize, and only resort to combat if plans go awry.

Missions range from theft and sabotage to infiltration, item collection, and even target destruction.

As players complete these objectives, they accumulate funds and valuable goods that can be used to acquire new equipment and upgrades.

The arsenal available during gameplay is notably diverse, featuring lockpicks, crowbars, silenced pistols, and advanced gadgets such as drones and scanners. Recently, Crime Simulator has benefited from continued support and substantial updates post-release.

The current Xbox version incorporates the Version 1.2 update, introducing a new "Rural Arizona" map, enhanced challenges like motion sensors, and the addition of drivable cars, further evolving the gameplay experience.

CookieDev has publicly committed to ongoing content development, with the next major Jewels Update (Version 1.3) scheduled to arrive as a free upgrade in early 2026.

This forthcoming update will introduce jewel heist mechanics and diversify gameplay with modes like Thief Competition and Impostor Mode. Key features of Crime Simulator include: - Immersive survival in the criminal underworld - Stealth and action-focused mission design - Single-player and online co-op support for up to four players - Progression and skill upgrades - An extensive selection of tools and weapons With its debut on Nintendo Switch 2, Crime Simulator is poised to extend its reach to a broader console audience, further cementing CookieDev’s reputation for delivering innovative crime simulation experiences.
