Blood: Refreshed Supply Brings Iconic FPS Action to Nintendo Switch with New Content and Multiplayer Enhancements

Nightdive Studios has officially launched Blood: Refreshed Supply on Nintendo Switch, bringing the legendary 1997 cult-classic shooter to Nintendo consoles for the first time.

This marks a milestone for both long-time fans and newcomers, as the acclaimed first-person shooter—originally developed by Monolith Productions—receives a comprehensive remaster specifically designed for modern hardware, including the immensely popular Nintendo Switch. Blood: Refreshed Supply is a significant update of the original PC release, with Nightdive Studios building on the foundation set by their 2019 PC edition, Blood: Fresh Supply.

For the first time in franchise history, players can experience Caleb’s blood-soaked quest for vengeance against the dark god Tchernobog and his Cabal followers on home consoles.

The Nintendo Switch version incorporates technical enhancements such as improved visuals, unlocked frame rates, customizable controls, and seamless local split-screen as well as robust cross-platform online multiplayer for up to eight participants. With its atmospheric mix of Lovecraftian horror and visceral action, Blood: Refreshed Supply allows users to play solo or join friends in either co-op or competitive modes, including PvP "Bloodbath" and classic Capture The Flag.

Multiplayer support extends to both couch co-op via split-screen and online play, ensuring broad accessibility for Nintendo Switch owners.

Veteran fans will appreciate the inclusion of CD and MIDI music support, offering an authentic retro audio experience. All original campaign content is present, including the classic campaigns of Blood alongside hallmark expansions Plasma Pak and Cryptic Passage.

Moreover, Refreshed Supply introduces two brand-new mission scenarios.

The Marrow campaign, available at launch, includes two fresh episodes—offering 24 entirely new levels steeped in horror themes, complemented by an original soundtrack composed by Jason Smith, Aleksander Wong-Kmiec, Jarkko Rotsten, Nicolai Patricio, and Sigurd Jøhnk-Jensen.

Looking ahead, the ambitious four-episode Death Wish campaign, featuring 48 new and upgraded levels and music by Noelle Amelie Aman (Speedy) and Sjellos (Silentsphere Studios), will release as a no-cost title update in the first quarter of 2026. In addition to narrative and gameplay expansions, Blood: Refreshed Supply features a new Vault filled with unreleased developmental content—playable cut-content maps, concept artwork, behind-the-scenes photography, and unused sprite work—a treasure trove for enthusiasts eager to delve deeper into the game's history.

Comprehensive modding support is also present, enabling fans to create or import custom content and further extending the game’s longevity on the Nintendo Switch platform. Nightdive Studios has reiterated their commitment to delivering faithful remasters, stating that Blood: Refreshed Supply has been rebuilt from the original source code, with significant bug fixes and enhancements tailored for both legacy fans and new players alike. Blood: Refreshed Supply is available now via the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch, joining the studio's growing portfolio of acclaimed remasters.
