The title is billed as a 3D open-world simulation RPG and follows Pathea’s recent entries in the My Time franchise, including My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock.
According to the publisher’s announcement, My Time at Evershine is positioned as the franchise’s most ambitious entry to date, expanding the My Time universe with larger-scale systems and new leadership mechanics.
The game is set three years after the events of My Time at Sandrock; players will assume the role of Governor for the first time in franchise history and are tasked with transforming a struggling frontier settlement into a functioning city-state.
The publisher outlined the narrative and geopolitical backdrop: the Duvos Empire has established a presence at the Orzu Ruins, a site also claimed by the Principality of Ethea.
These competing claims have created tensions just north of the Alliance of Free Cities border in the Northern Eufaula region.
In response, the Alliance initiated the North Development Plan to encourage new settlers and establish a defensive city-state—placing the player at the center of the effort.
Gameplay promises highlight the consequences of player choice.
PM Studios and Pathea describe a system where recruiting settlers, building infrastructure either from prefabs or DIY, forging friendships and romances, and uncovering ancient mysteries all feed into how the settlement develops and how the narrative unfolds.
Players will be able to recruit more than twenty unique NPCs and pursue romantic arcs with ten core romanceable characters, four of whom were selected by backers during development.
Cooperative play is supported: the game’s story can be experienced with up to three friends in online co-op, allowing players to build the town together, tackle dungeons, and share story moments.
Seasonal events and mini-games are listed among ongoing activities intended to keep the settlement evolving alongside the player community.
A trailer for My Time at Evershine accompanied the announcement, and PM Studios confirmed the Nintendo eShop release window of 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2.
Pathea Games remains the primary developer, extending its work on the My Time series, while PM Studios will handle publishing duties for the platform release.
